Going Global

Mid - January brought a great opportunity to share the work of Compact with a wider audience via a zoom presentation. It’s understood that most marketing and media output can only cope with sound bites and anything exceeding 2 minutes gets little exposure. That said this 30 minutes event was aimed at current supporters, providing them with a clear overview of the work accomplished so far, methodology used, expenditures, budgeting and an outline of what the future holds. Our appeals often don’t hit the emotional soft spot of many givers who respond to sad images, disaster appeals and local causes. We understand that but we also appreciate that people are more selective with their giving and value the effective use of their funds which we aim to demonstrate. For more information on any aspect of Compact or for a link to the presentation contact us at ktj@compactrf.com

There’s no thrill in easy sailing, when the sky is clear and blue; there’s no joy in merely doing things which anyone can do.  Author Unknown

GoFundMe 2

With the completion of Chuzu almost done we have in mind a new site at Nkhotakota some 4-5 hours east of Lilongwe. The roads are hazardous even before we venture off road to the village. For this we will need a small 4x4 vehicle to make the twice monthly visits for village training and vendor consultations. A 10-15 year old Honda / Nissan type vehicle will cost us an additional $6,000 USD for which we are looking for assistance. If you can help please visit GoFundMe - Mobility in Malawi or contact us direct via our email.

Chuzu Opening

With the solar power now installed and the sanitation block almost complete, we expect our official opening of Chuzu village hall in Mid-February. Various organizations and city departments who have assisted in this work will be in attendance along with the local village committee and chiefs.
