An International Response

Chuzu Community Center

We are delighted to report a wonderful response from Sisters Open House (SOH) based in the UK following the Zoom presentation in January. SOH was established in 1993 and aimed to connect older Christian women from local churches in the North West of England and beyond. For almost 3 decades they have met every 6 weeks to enjoy devotional talks, prayer focus, meals together, board games & quiz times. With a strong ethos of caring and sharing the members have actively raised money on a regular basis for a variety of good causes including Faith Welfare Trust, a children’s home in India, an orphan care center in Malawi and local youth camps. Their fund-raising includes auctions & crafts fairs, which this year have allowed them to support Compact to the tune of £4,500. Thank you so much for this reinforcement of our work. If you’re connected with a similar group, maybe you could share this cause with them. For more information on any aspect of Compact, contact us at ktj@compactrf.com

Make it Monthly

The charity business is just that these days - a business - with some charities handling millions of dollars and employing teams of specialists. Fund-raising is a niche part of their operations in which they strategically plan years ahead for grant applications. One tip given to smaller charities like Compact is to encourage smaller but regular monthly giving. We noted that one supporter did just that in January with their $40 donation and clicked the “monthly” button on the PayPal site. If this appeals to you click the link below and start now.

PayPal - It Works!

We have had several inquiries about making a donation, and what is the best way? For Canadians you can do an E-transfer, send us a cheque, or use the online PayPal system built into the website. International donors should note that this works like a credit card, in that once you have selected a $ amount you are charged in your local currency. Online payments can always be a little nervy, but we can assure you it works!
