Nutritional Interventions

Patrick Singoyi advises on nutrition

At the beginning of 2022 Compact was delighted to welcome Patrick Singoyi to the board of Directors, a 28-year-old Malawian, employed at GIZ as an implementation advisor. GIZ is a service provider in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development and international education work, dedicated to shaping a future worth living in. He comes with a good knowledge of local food systems, nutritional education, and links with WASH, a nutritional program for primary schools in Malawi. For all our efforts to provide utilities and opportunities for better farming techniques, the villagers we serve need to understand the importance of nutrition and how to harvest the water and food they grow to better their food security. Patrick will be developing the necessary programs to meet this next challenge. Click to see a 90 second mp4 on our nutritional interventions. https://youtu.be/nTB7acDHfhE

Build it Right

Shawn Dhanda & Kevin Jones had the privilege of meeting with Murray Frank, Lawrie Beaton & some of their team at Build It Right. This company, based in Coquitlam, BC, is leading the field in Net Zero home construction. Net zero waste uses advanced water, composting techniques and new technologies to preserve natural resources and reduce pollution. They are light years ahead of Compact but felt a synergy in our aims and objectives which they look forward to supporting as we move forward.

Fred Marks

Fred died April 2021 and in lieu of flowers, donations were sent to Compact or MFC, a Christian camp in Ontario. On the anniversary of his passing there were several donations which has been a touching remembrance of a godly & philanthropic man.
