Students from Saint Philip’s Church of England Primary School

We are delighted to report that “Global Giving” is alive and well as demonstrated by St. Philip’s & St. Paul and the students of St. Philip’s Church of England Primary school in Southport, England. They very kindly adopted the work of Compact as their “Harvest Festival” giving cause showing the importance of international giving. Marie - Anne Kent, the minister, reviewed the Compact website and then spoke on the heart of Alfred, who having so little himself, still donated land for the village Community Centre. She also commissioned a 25-meter tablecloth to illustrate the proverb, “When you have more than you need, build a bigger table not a higher wall.” Meanwhile, after watching a short video on the challenge children have in Malawi getting water, Sandie Edwards, Head Teacher at St. Philip’s, challenged the children to recycle boxes and use them for collecting donations. We thank them all from the bottom of our hearts for their donation of 1,150 pounds. ($1,780 Canadian)

If your church, school, or social group would like to support Compact, contact us for assistance.

2022 Visit

Ndalama Village

From October 26th – Nov 15th, Kevin Jones, President of Compact, will be in Malawi for meetings with the local board and management. There are several site visits planned to document the progress and interview local people as to the impact of the Chuzu project. Visits to Ndalama, our next location, will also take place for teaching on the logic of Compacts’ work and a continuation of collecting data for the base line survey. We also hope to meet with a local MP of Nkhotakota district to ensure effective collaboration in the area. Ndalama Village has no indoor meeting space and is in danger of losing its limited water supply.
