Faith & Responsibility
Can there be any doubt that climate change is literally rocking our world? Even if the mainstream news channels with their selective distribution of Western weather disasters, cannot help broadcasting the devastation that climate change is having on our planet. YouTube is filled with dozens of worst weather videos that are shocking, and still so many cry “It’s not our fault.” Even the absence of spiritual faith, people know the world was never meant to be like this. While the simplest faith in God shows us that He created a superlative world that has been ruined by humanity, and never more so than in the last 100 years.
Compact is an independent NGO but we are guided by faith principles that demand responsibility which are manifested in our projects. We re-educate people to work in a way that will see their own ruined landscape flourish through permaculture principles, supported by an effective water system. Although some may shrink back from faith-based societies, the Alliance for Responsible Citizenship (ARC) place Judaic / Christian faith principles as a major player in stabilizing our societies. Combining these two, faith and responsibility, is no accident.

Rainy Season-Feb. 28
Sadly, there seems to be no let up for the dear people of Malawi as the rainy season starts again bringing increased devastation to many new areas. There can be no doubt that climate change across the world is increasing the havoc that a familiar rain season would bring to these sub-Sahar regions. Apart from towns and villages being submerged by several feet of water, main roads and bridges are being washed away making travel post flooding dangerous to impossible in some areas.
This also impacts any organizations’ ability to budget challenging. If projects are not directly impacted, delays bring added costs. Thank you to all those who support monthly via PayPal.
