Green Light

Work begins in Chuzu village

After more than two years of preparation and planning for Compact Resource Foundation, the dedication of board members, management and generous support of donors, the build in Chuzu has been given the green light. Building and payment schedules are in place for August while phase one of drilling the borehole was completed on July 30th 2021. The main building and toilet block of rammed earth will take approximately 3 months to complete. During this time the permaculture training will commence lead by Eston Mgala of EC Permaculture Consultancy.

A village elder commented, back in March, when Compact began levelling the site that many had made promises but Compact was delivering. We are sure the villagers will be excited this month as further work begins to unfold before their eyes.

Monthly Donations

As confidence grows in the work Compact is doing, we hope to secure more monthly donors which will help tremendously with our financial planning. We know there are many worthy organizations to support but we hope that the innovative approach to real sustainable change, for an otherwise neglected part of the world’s population, will prove attractive.
