URGENT APPEAL Transport Crisis

Cyclone Devastation

Transport is a nightmare at the best of times in Malawi with frequent fuel shortages that can have people waiting for 3 days in their cars for a few litres of gas. But that’s only the half!

Each rainy season brings another round of transport crisis with infrastructure washed away, leaving the main roads in an appalling state. The bottom line is, the Compact vehicle is at the end of its life after servicing rural locations. Our 2006 Nissan X-Trail is in desperate need of replacement NOW with a newer, more robust vehicle to continue the work.

A 10 year old Ford Ranger, Toyota Hilux, or similar, will cost us around $20,000 USD ($28,500 CAD). Can you help? With board members visiting at the end of May 2025, we can oversee the purchase of this essential vehicle with today’s donations.

Many challenges face givers today but you can be sure that your money goes a lot further in Malawi and directly impacts more people than most places. We need this vehicle now to continue the hands on work of restoring the lives and land of these impoverished people.
