Meeting The Needs

Maslow's hierarchy of needs is an idea in psychology that deals with "A Theory of Human Motivation". The principles expressed in the pyramid diagram point out that there are essentials needed such as food, water and rest which come before safety and security. It has truly been a privilege for Compact to carry out this work so far and we have fulfilled the goals set out, by the grace of God, but as we review the first project in detail, several issues have arisen which we feel will require us to change our modus operandi. Even a casual glance at Maslow’s theory points to the reality that rural villages in Malawi need food and water rather than a comfortable location with utilities that they are unable to utilize effectively without further assistance. Compact understands this and is focused on a new strategy that will serve the immediate needs and utilize funds more effectively. We look forward to sharing these plans in the very near future.

Breakfast Program

As with many things in Malawi nothing is stand alone. You take Bibles but have no transport to deliver them, find transport but have no petrol, have petrol but the car battery needs jump starting and so this is life. Chuzu have a great facility but the children coming each morning are hungry. We are delighted to announce that 2023 brings with it a breakfast club program for the children attending Chuzu pre-school.  All these add-ons of food, tables, chairs, books etc. are only possible by your ongoing generosity.
